# FLASHBACKFRIDAY (🇫🇷/🇺🇸) - Un jour pas comme les autres, après être passé au tribunal à Downtown Los Angeles/ Another unordinary day after stepping out of court inn downtown LA

 Ce jour-là, je me rendais au tribunal de Downtown Los Angeles pour une histoire de PV. Rien de très excitant, jusqu’au moment où, en sortant, j’entends ce qui ressemblait à des coups de pétard. Curieux, je m’approche… et je réalise qu’il s’agit en fait d’un tournage.

À Los Angeles, ce n’est pas rare de tomber sur une équipe de cinéma en pleine rue, mais ce jour-là, c’était particulier. Je vivais aux États-Unis depuis un an, et là, face à moi, se trouvait Clint Eastwood. Une véritable icône, à la fois acteur et réalisateur.

Lui qui a marqué le cinéma avec des rôles cultes (Le Bon, la Brute et le Truand, Dirty Harry…), mais aussi derrière la caméra avec des chefs-d’œuvre comme Impitoyable, Million Dollar Baby ou encore Gran Torino. Et ce jour-là, il était en train de tourner J. Edgar Hoover.

Heureusement, j’avais mon téléobjectif toujours rangé dans le coffre de ma voiture — une habitude, car à Los Angeles personne ne se déplace à pied. Je l’ai sorti en vitesse, et malgré la foule, j’ai pu capturer cette rencontre inattendue.

Aujourd’hui, en fouillant dans mes disques durs (dans un joyeux désordre, je l’avoue), je suis retombé sur ces clichés. Pour moi, ce ne sont pas de simples photos, mais un fragment de quotidien : la preuve qu’à Los Angeles, même une sortie banale au tribunal peut se transformer en souvenir inoubliable.

That day, I was heading to the courthouse in Downtown Los Angeles for a traffic ticket. Nothing too exciting—until, as I was leaving, I suddenly heard what sounded like firecrackers. Curious, I walked closer… and realized it was actually a film set.

In Los Angeles, it’s not uncommon to stumble upon a movie crew shooting in the streets, but this time felt special. I had been living in the U.S. for about a year, and there, right in front of me, was Clint Eastwood. A true legend, both as an actor and as a director.

He’s the one who gave us iconic roles (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Dirty Harry…), and unforgettable films behind the camera, like Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby, or Gran Torino. That day, he was shooting J. Edgar Hoover.

Luckily, I always kept my telephoto lens in the trunk of my car—a habit, since in Los Angeles nobody really walks anywhere. I grabbed it quickly, and despite the crowd, I managed to capture that unexpected encounter.

Today, while digging through my hard drives (in complete disarray, I must admit), I came across those pictures again. For me, they’re not just photos, but fragments of daily life—proof that in Los Angeles, even an ordinary courthouse visit can turn into an unforgettable memory.
